Planet Maya is a game meant for families to play about family-centered scenarios. The intention was to center abolitionist ideas by way of play in settings where the conversation might not be welcome or openly spoken about. The cards are set up so that folks can work through them collaboratively. Myself and three fellow classmates (Zahra Bukhari, Mickey Ferrara, and Jenny Lin) co-designed the game and tested prototypes with several focus groups. The game was developed virtually and across time zones.
